How would eliminating Carter’s federal monstrosity reach down and directly fire state and county employees? It might reduce money to the state & county and they would have raise local taxes or lay them off. That would be the local educrat establishment and the voters call! Did you actually think state & local educrats and teachers were federal employees? The Carter Monstrosity only has roughly 4000 employees.
Kill the DOE and the state systems will take care of themselves. Most of the harm to local schools is directly caused by Federal money.
