I trucked all around this country (except New England states). There’s plenty of drug fueled crooks of every color in every state. I been warned over the CB by local truckers what to watch out for, where to park for the night, etc.

After conquering Vermilionville, the capital of Nouvelle Acadie (New Acadia) in 1863, Lieutenant George C. Harding of the 21st Indiana Infantry used the term “Cajun” to describe the region’s inhabitants:
