It’s concealed body armor like normal cops unlike those ones dressed up with external body armor looking like a paratrooper. And all body armor has more holes than you would imagine. Belly, neck, collarbone area, armpits.
Poor guy probably took one in one of those vulnerable areas. Helping keep scrotes like that off the road.... for some here to trash them for it and say they deserved it.

Canadian police has always worn the external armor. The firearm risk for them is almost always going to be rifles and shotguns, not handguns.
However, I’m not sure the armor they wear can really stand up to rifle fire.
