PHILADELPHIA (AP) — As he closes in on the Republican presidential nomination, former President Donald Trump made a highly unusual stop Saturday, hawking new Trump-branded sneakers at “Sneaker Con,” a gathering that bills itself as the “The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth.”
Trump was met with loud boos as well as cheers at the Philadelphia Convention Center as he introduced what he called the first official Trump footwear.
The shoes, gold lame high tops with an American flag detail on the back, are being sold as “Never Surrender High-Tops” for $399 on a new website that also sells Trump-branded “Victory47” cologne and perfume for $99 a bottle. He’d be the 47th president if elected again.
Biden-Harris 2024 Communications Director Michael Tyler slammed the appearance, saying: “Donald Trump showing up to hawk bootleg Off-Whites is the closest he’ll get to any Air Force Ones ever again for the rest of his life.”

AP is an aggregator of news from different regions, right? It used to be a literal teletype machine in the newsrooms. Almost all news services use AP for stories outside of their local area.
I understand that we don’t like their “slant” on things…but everyone uses the stories from AP—from Fox to The NY Times to PBS.

If Trump supporters seem reactive perhaps its because of two unfounded impeachments that your side threw against him. Those two impeachments were designed to stop what, a great economy, great job market, ending wars, building a wall to fight the invasion on the border, energy independence, global respect? Or maybe a combination of all the above achieved during those impeachments. Now its lawfare your side is using. Yeah, maybe people have had enough of corruption and want a man who has proven he can be trusted. Yes, they naturally rush to defend him.
Trump isn’t your line in the sand. For you, He and his supporters are safe moving targets to mock and ridicule while you sit on your butt nameless and faceless behind a computer.

But then you have no idea of who I am, what political campaigns I have or have not worked on nor do you have knowledge of any political activism I’ve engaged in. Those take time and energy and draw one away from social media where there is safety in mocking others.
Again Trump isn’t your line in the sand. He is your safe moving target and the people who support him enough to passionately defend him, you can never understand. So you mock, say they worship at his feet. If those type of attacks worked, I doubt Trump would have the degree and rising minority degree of support he has. But you keep on posting nameless, faceless in anominity.
Gosh, I honestly didn’t hear any booing. Not to say it didn’t happen but when I watched it, the crowd was really receptive.
