“If Ukraine wins they’ll hit up US taxpayers to ‘rebuild’ their country.”

If Ukraine loses, we’ll be importing 3-5 million of them into the US, to further Balkanize this Nation, along with 50-60 million other illegal alien invaders, over the past 35-50yrs. Especially the 8-10 million illegal, criminal alien invaders, from just the last 3+ years.

It worked just fine for the Poles in 1920.
And the Russians today arent their granddads of 1944.
They certainly cant fight like them.
They cannot break through and maneuver.

Since territorial aggression and conquest is legitimate with Putin I expect China could invade Siberia and Japan take back Sakhalin. Territories Russia took by force last century.

It’s all on the table apparently since Putin rejected respecting treaties, agreements and national borders 20 years ago. Can’t complain now if others match him.

OK, by that logic if Texas was attacked we wouldn't be able to defend ourselves? Because one of our prime energy areas was attacked?

That's the problem many Americans have with NATO and other countries... they don't save up their money for a crisis because they assume the idiot Americans will run in to save their bacon.

We were there for Europe during World War I and II and now they think they can spend every dime they have on themselves while WE do without so our military is first in the world? No, I'm NOT buying into that.

(That said YOU farmerbob are one of the nicest freepers here... so this isn't as personal as it might soundP

That is categorically UNTRUE. They have cut back dramatically on the use of 155 and air defense missiles. At this rate they will be completely out in a matter of weeks if not days. If the West had any additional, they would have been sent. We’ve sent 2 million rounds already. We make 300,000 a year. Do the math. Are you paying attention to what’s happening? Why the rout if everything has been coming up Aces for the Ukes?

“What happened to the tens of billions of weapons we gave ukraine”

Much of it was shot at the Russians. Ammo is meant to be expended. Ask anyone who goes to the range.

Well, I’ll admit being utterly wrong when I expected Russia to roll over Ukraine in a week or so.

But two years into a ten day war I doubt the Russians will be able to hold on to any part of Ukraine when this is done.

They’re also on path to lose Chechnya, Siberia, and all of their other occupied territories. They’re not a superpower anymore. They’re barely Canada with a few nukes.

Russia is weak and covetous eyes are watching.

Russia will demilitarize Ukraine and turn it into a rump state

LOL, sure they will

but then shouldn't they stop sucking on the battlefield first?

Russian bear is a paper tiger, at the moment. They are exerting every muscle to beat Ukraine, a country 1/4 their population and 1/6 their economy.

And even with that they have barely budged in 22 months.
And not for lack of trying.

“Since territorial aggression and conquest is legitimate with Putin I expect China could invade Siberia and Japan take back Sakhalin. Territories Russia took by force last century.”

They’re certainly WELCOME to try, but they’ll find that they don’t have the luxury of fighting the Neocons, people who spent most of their adult years DESPISING the military.

“but then shouldn’t (Russia) stop sucking on the battlefield first?”

We must acknowledge the triumphs of the Russian Bottom of the Black Sea Fleet! Russia has more forces controlling the strategically important bottom of the Black Sea than any other navy in history!

There is a city called Avdiivka. You might have heard of it. Three weeks ago it was the key defensive stronghold holding the defenses of eastern Ukraine together. Estimates were that after the mud dried the Russians would assault this fortress city in late spring. Today, the entire Uke garrison has been routed. How did that happen? You can watch exactly, day by day, how the Russians did it on YouTube. You’ll be impressed. In 10 days, through constant maneuver, they broke through. They are currently maneuvering to take advantage of the rout. Are you commenting on the right war? We’re talking about Ukraine here.

“Russian bear is a paper tiger, at the moment.”

Feel to claim that 100 times a day, but I think Babylon Bee’s headline put it best:

“Russian destroys NATO Front-Line weapons to remove their chips to get their Washing Machines working.”

They pretty much control Belarus. The former Soviet ‘stans are also generally on board with Mother Russia. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan. An equal list might be Soviet member states that aren’t under Moscow’s influence or control. Armenia, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova.

Notice I didn’t put Ukraine on either list. It (and to be fair, Belarus) was recognized to be independent of the Soviet Union by the United Nations and had seats in that body - giving the Soviet Union 3 votes).

And the post World War II Ukraine excluded the Crimea - it was part of Russia until it was given away in February, 1954 (in violation of the Soviet Constitution). And Sevastopol didn’t pass to the Ukraine until 1978.

Honestly, the Poles and Lithuanians have floated that very idea. My concern, as the Ukes collapse, is that the maniacs at NATO ape the Chinese when they crossed the Yalu in 1950.
