They’re illegal monopolies - especially Alphabet (Google/Youtube), Amazon, Facebook, Apple and should be busted into a million pieces.
Break up Google and YouTube. Make it illegal for Google to tailor its search results to favor YouTube or any other video streaming platform. Force Amazon to divest its web support business. Force Google to divest itself of Android....in fact, bust up Android. Force Facebook to spin off WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.
Regulate them like utilities. That means no discriminatory provision of service to anyone. They don’t get to ban, shadow ban, de-boost, deny service....ANYTHING....simply because they don’t like your politics, your religion, etc. The only thing they get to censor is....key words here....CLEARLY ILLEGAL speech like terrorism, child porn, etc. Nothing else.
We used to have laws that were enforced to do exactly this, they were called Anti Trust Laws, see Robinson Patman and Sherman Clayton. As you now see, those laws are easily subverted by paying enough in Bribe Money to government officials.
