President Joe Biden said Friday he was both "not surprised" and "outraged" by reports of the death of Alexei Navalny, the longtime Russian opposition politician and critic of Vladimir Putin.
Russia's Federal Penitentiary Service announced Navalny died in prison. The service claimed Navalny, 47, lost consciousness after a walk but gave no official cause of death.
"Russian authorities are going to tell their own story," Biden said in remarks delivered from the Roosevelt Room. "Make no mistake: Putin is responsible for Navalny's death."

Lira could have cost the lives of 1000 Ukrainians.
Navalni could have saved the lives of 100,000 Russians.

Agreed.
“He committed treason by helping our common enemy : the Kremlin deep-state apparatchiks.”
All Nazis and their sympathizers call the public expression of a contrary political opinion “treason”. And being an American journalist in Ukraine is no protection from Ukrainian Nazis.
And Ukrainian Nazis in particular continuously conflate US National Security interests with their own.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
US interests are best served by the annihilation of the baby Ukrainian state, and normalization of relations with Russia.
Ping to post #44.
The “Ukrainian Nazis” you say...
Thus you are talking about National Socialists, Right?
For the anecdote the Democrats in America call these people “far right wingers”... In reality they are socialists.
There are such Nazi groups in Ukraine, in Russia and in America. But in neither of these countries do those socialist Nazi groups have any power, whats so ever. They have ZERO representatives in congress or parliaments.
Ukraine’s President Zelenski is Jewish. Members of his family were deported and killed by the Nazis during WWII.
So, insinuating that Ukraine today is ruled by Nazis... is simply an insult to intelligence.
When it comes to Navalni, he was the Russian Trump-equivalent. He represented the poorer middle class Russian people / the “deplorables” - yearning for freedom, and the end of big government. Navalni was the one fighting in a peaceful political way against the Kremlin deep-state establishment.
Well... Putin killed him for it. Putin wants to preserve the deep Kremlin establishment, directing it from his ivory tower... whatever the cost.
So... who in Russia do you an I support?
The “deplorable” Trump-equivalent people?
Or do we prefer Putin’s deep-state establishment?
Evidently I support the “deplorables”.
Biden is jealous.
Huh? Please explain.
“Navalni was the Russian Trump! They killed him for it.”
And Biden’s trying to do the same thing to Trump in the same way.
“Biden is trying to imprison and bankrupt Trump.”
He’s also trying to murder Trump, just the way Putin did to Navalny.
“Navalni was the Russian Trump! They killed him for it.”

Trump will not be assasinated.
The days where the deep-state assassinated people (like J.F. Kennedy for example) are over.
Instead they try to wear him out throwing at him ridiculously high fines about his business dealings, etc...
But I’m sure that Trump’s appeals in court will largely reduce those fines. The justice system will hopefully be just at the end of the process.
They want to get Trump into jail so that he can die like Navalny.
Britain and France, who have such a hard on to get the US (taxpayer) to send even more and more $Billions to “Ukraine,” are playing right along in their media, to ballyhoo the death of the Russian dissident Navalny.
