On Thursday’s broadcast of NPR’s “All Things Considered,” Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas (D) said that if you don’t have metal detectors, “then how can we ever fully be safe in a city, a state, and, perhaps, a country where we know that people are freely walking around with AR-15s, with modified handguns with switches, with any number of issues, or frankly, even just your old classic revolver?” And “If we know that one can act with impunity with that, then it’s hard to say we’ll ever be fully as safe as I think we’d like to idealize ourselves to be.”

Of course we can be safe- an armed society is a polite society mayor! The cr8m8nals will ALWAYS have guns, and the only way to equalize thi gs is to arm the citizenry to fight back and NOT convict them when they do,fight back agaisnt thugs with guns.
Chicago, where it was near impossible to own guns, yet crime rates soared! Why? Because the vast majority of,citizens were unarmed because of that cities asinine antigen policies!

Most likely referencing “Glock Switches”, I believe they went viral awhile back when “teens” discovered you could get them from china relatively easy. They replace the rear plate, and have the capability of converting the handgun to fire in a full-automatic fashion.
Glocks can be converted to full-auto fire with a device "switch" that can easily be found on line because it's marketed to airsoft guns. But it works perfectly on the real deal.
They're really popular in the 'hood where they're then outfitted with hi-cap stick and drum magazines. Of course, when blacks are caugth with these illegally modified weapons, the weapons are only confiscated.
If lily-white me had a Glock with a switch, I'd be charged with a federal felony and looking at 4-5 years in prison.
Acting civilized is out of the question and it’s unfair to even mention it.
My husband had never heard of glock switches either—I asked on FR what could make a little gun shoot a burst like that and was told “glock switch”, so looked it up.
