All that has to be proved is an “appearance” of a conflict of interest for her to be dismissed from the case. This isn’t a criminal case where she faces charges. The bar isn’t all that high.
But she could cross the line during the hearing where there could be actual charges filed, i.e., a process crime.
Appearance isn’t enough.
