Anyone who has worked in the legal field can tell you it is a sordid business. The legal community is a subset of the rest of the city or town. They live in their own little world.
I once told my husband when I retired I was going to write a book titled, “Sex, Subpoenas, and Suits”. It is amazing how many attorneys are having affairs with their assistants, a judge, or an attorney at another firm.
The attorney in the office next to where I once worked was having an affair with his secretary. Every day they went for lunch at eleven and returned at around 3:00 just reeking of beer. Clients would show up for their appointment and come to my office when they found the other office was closed. I eventually became tired of covering for them and just directed the clients to the pub down the block. I believe the attorney was eventually disbarred and the secretary’s hubby divorced her.
