Because the Dems are allowing for the Republicans to wallow in this mess. Turner screwed up. The Dems probably know its a nothing burger, and they are sitting back laughing at the Reps falling all over each other.

It could be the reverse and Turner is trying to preempt a head fake planned by the Dems/WH/DS about something urgent that we aren’t allowed to know like Adam Schiff’s “secret proof” that sent us down a 3 year rabbbit hole for nought. We can’t know which it is yet, if any, and may never know.
