They did launch a hypersonic missile at Ukraine the other day. Those may be unstoppable with present technology. Who knows what kind of warhead they can be fitted with or what other countries have one. If I recall one missile has a dozen smaller warheads or maybe that was a different weapon?
When they say national emergency threat, I think of a threat to the homeland, not a threat to some other country.
I guess we’ll see, or we won’t, or we’ll see some of it and what that response is. It may be a legit immediate threat, an emerging threat, or a distant threat being used for domestic political purposes. Anyone’s guess at this point but they sure wanted to ruin Valentine’s Day.
