It’s mostly a warning. It may not be you, but many seem to have this total awe of the man, who laps it up, I might add.

Sometimes when it cuts too close to home, the reaction is “telling”. When you’re over the target, you get the flak.

What I see of behavior with this man is not healthy. He is treated like some kind of god. So indeed, the truth may hurt, but please don’t pin so much devotion on this man. He isn’t even worthy of it. Despite some declarations, he is no Washington, not even a Reagan. But I haven’t even seen the total he-can-do-no-wrong gushing and backlash defense as I’ve seen for Trump.

Again, it’s not healthy.

If you can take criticism of the man, and you can even call out some of his faults, then fine. But too much here, there is undying devotion, which is dangerous.

And now is not the example. Go back a few years and see how the threads go.

Yes. I do see the faults. You make some valid points. My issue is two fold:

1. I’m an America First Independent voter. I don’t like the GOP. I don’t like Rino elites and that party is filled with them. I adore Trump because he’s never stabbed me in the back (like Mitch McConnell in the Senate for example). Trump, despite his personal faults, governed on an America First agenda and the benefits were great! He is running on that same platform and, until he betrays me, he has earned my respect and my vote. Moreover, his personality faults are no worse than many in the GOP or many on the Dem side.

2. I don’t mind the heated debates, especially when at the end two people may in fact be able to form some kind of mutual respect even if they can never agree. What I can’t let go is what I perceive to be hatred. I’m of the opinion that if I ignore it, things will only get worse, quickly.

So yeah we can certainly agree to disagree. We can even find common ground. But I don’t deserve nor anyone I know, the mockery or insult of someone stamping us with the label of a cultist. That to me crosses the line and screams images of Waco. Ok. Enough. Hope your evening is lovely.
