IMHO there's a problem with their policies being very unpopular. It may be that Kamala doesn't want to be the one who's name is attached to the dumpster fire they've created. She might want to go out gracefully as the first female veep and yada yada.

Or who knows? She might want to avail herself of the opportunity to get some more grift money as the presidential candidate.
