I haven’t made up my list of banned items in my lifetime yet, but I guess I’ll be adding decent tires to it.
The intent here, of course, is to drive up the cost of tires for gasoline vehicles to match that of EVs (which cost about 3 times gasoline vehicle prices as EV owners are now learning the hard way. The reason for the tires on EVs is that they need the very slightly lower rolling resistance to notch up their range, while small fractions of MPGs are not so critical for gasoline cars.
A good investment now might be opening up some tire stores in Idaho as I doubt Washington will be able to prevent people from driving to a place to replace their tires that still has ‘tire freedom’.
EVs burn through tires very quickly.
Thinner tread$ will wear out even fa$ter!
