My coffee bags went from 12 to11 oz recently while price went up. Most of these increases are bidet economy errors. However it is not all that. Soda prices have exploded over past six months here, far above material and wage increases.
Me thinkum Grey Beaver have something here.
I went to the store, which I don’t often do, and was shocked at the price of snacks. The patent must have gone off Pringle’s chip technology (ha ha) recently, and I thought I would try out a new company’s sour cream chips. So, I open the can, and it’s two thirds full.
THE ENTIRE PURPOSE of “Pringle chip technology” was to reduce breakage and reduce the cost of producing/shipping/storing a low density foodstuff. Leaving a can 1/3 empty completely defeats this. I thought about complaining about it to the company on their website, but who cares, they wont get any of my money ever again. Screw ‘em.
I buy special coffees & grinds online, so I haven’t noticed any changes, and I haven’t drank soda since the 50s, as a kid. I’ll check some of the soda bottles next time I’m at the market.
I purchased two ice cream sandwiches at a convenience store last week.
Not even “standard” size ones...they seemed slightly smaller in dimensions.
$8.00
Eight dollars for two small ice cream sandwiches.
