Former President Donald Trump said he plans to give New York “a heavy shot” in his campaign, as he believes there is potential to “flip” traditionally Democratic-leaning states in the general election. *** “Do I think we have a chance? New York has changed a lot in the last two years. We have migrants all over the street. They are living on Madison Avenue. Nobody can believe what’s happened to New York,” he said.
President Trump said he believes Democratic strongholds such as New York, where he claimed people are “unhappy” because crime rates have hit “record levels,” can be “flipped” in the general election.
“The people of New York are angry. People that would have never voted for me because I’m a Republican. I mean they’re Democrats … I think they’re going to vote for me. So, I think we’re going to give New York a heavy shot,” the former president said.
“The other thing is, and very importantly, New Jersey. I think New Jersey can be flipped. I think that Virginia can be flipped. I think that New Mexico could be flipped. And I think Minnesota could be flipped. And I’m not even sure that everything can’t be flipped,” he added.
New York, the most populous city in the United States, has struggled to contend with the arrival of over 120,000 illegal immigrants in the past year.
*** A Sienna College poll published last year shows that more than 80 percent of registered voters in New York view the recent influx of illegal immigrants as a “serious problem.”
Meanwhile, about 51 percent of New Yorkers said they disapprove of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s efforts in handling the influx.
“Voters disapprove of the job that Hochul is doing to address the influx 51-35 percent. They disapprove of the job Mayor Eric Adams is doing 47-31 percent.
“And they disapprove of the job the Biden administration is doing 59-34 percent,” Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg said in a statement.
Mr. Greenberg stated that, for the first time in a Siena College poll, a higher percentage of New Yorkers now hold an unfavorable view of President Joe Biden compared to those who view him favorably.
Trump has < 1% chance of winning NY (and probably close to 20 other states). That’s how damaged we are as a country.

Agreed.
All the Republicans including retired NYPD and FDNY have retired to Florida.
I agree with both of you about Trump’s chances in NY. But I also beleive that if he starts making those kind of comments, the DNC will move money around to combat this, money they won’t have for other places.
If they have to spend money defending NY and CA, the race enters a whole differnet kind of vibe.
That sounds Hugh & Series!!
The reason the House is in GOP hands right now is almost entirely because of the turnout in NY. Even a narrow loss would reflect positively with strong support in the House from NY reps.
It’s got to burn Trump up to think he couldn’t win his home state and it would be an immense F U to the New York establishment to do it... if he could pull it off.
That's how successful the Democrats are at turning our cities into liberal welfare cesspools.
I really would love to see him win a very unexpected state.
Here’s a good “flip NY” Trump ad subject:

In a statement issued Wednesday night, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul praised the Biden admin for acting “so speedily to grant one of our top priorities: providing Temporary Protected Status to Venezuelan asylum seekers........”
“There’s more work to do as we address this crisis, but the State of New York is prepared to immediately begin the process of signing Venezuelans up for work authorization and getting Venezuelans into jobs so they can become self-sufficient,” Hochul added.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams also praised the Biden decision WRT Venezuelans seeking asylum, adding that he was “hopeful that we can continue to partner with President Biden to extend Temporary Protected Status to the tens of thousands of other migrants still in our care from other countries.”

We will get a better idea next week when the George Santos empty seat special election is scheduled. If the Republicans can’t hold the seat, forget about it.
On the left: an illegal alien gesturing obscenely;part of a violent mob on tape
viciously attacking a NYPD officer; got off scott free, released without bail.
On the right is a father of 11, convicted in federal court
of praying at an abortion mill facing 11 years in jail.
They do love lockdowns and masking there. They wholly embrace both g pharma as their savior. So yep.. I think they are a match made in heaven.
Not gonna happen. At best he will lose by a slightly smaller margin. Campaigning there is wasted effort.
<1%. ? show us how you calculated that.
Good! Stay on on offense.
Trump should be calling for More Illegal Aliens to be sent to New York
I don’t know if he can pull it off, in terms of winning, but absolutely would love go see him dedicate resources and efforts to sow his unique “chaos” in NY... and Illegal Immigration is the absolute right issue to pull it off.
Unlike 16 and 20 where the issue was far away at the border, now its directly affecting the people in these deep blue cities, so, making sure that this is being pounded daily in such places, will keep the Uniparty/GLobalists on the defensive in places that should be automatic for them..>
Honestly, if executed correctly it should not be a very large lift to do so, just need the right organizational skills and folks who know how to get it done.
We shall see...
One might prefer Zeldin but Stefanik might help out with da wimmens vote.
Doubt it. They have voted stupid for so long it’s altered there DNA.
