Lamberth has presided over a number of the criminal cases of participants in the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol,[26][27] including Jacob Chansley, the “QAnon Shaman”.[28] Lamberth has handed down some of the longest sentences of the more than 480 people convicted for their actions during the attack.[29][30][31]

Throughout Chansley’s case, Lamberth has repeatedly denied Chansley’s requests for release and motions to vacate judgment.[35][36] In 2023, Lamberth denied Chansley’s request to throw out his conviction, after Chansley argued footage of the January 6 attack released by Tucker Carlson would have been favorable to his case.[37]

... attempts to undermine the legitimacy of the justice system

Like so many in our justice system (police, AG, Courts), it's not about justice, fairness and truth. For scum like this judge it's about protecting and defending the institution even if that means putting innocent people in prison.

A large swath of personnel in federal law enforcement and national security agencies correctly fear a Trump II administration. They are complicit in many misdeeds, not just against Trump, but also against the January 6 defendants.

On the full evidence, many of the January 6 defendants have valid claims to have their charges dismissed, sentences reduced, or convictions vacated. Some also have constitutional damages claims against the federal government. Even those who pleaded guilty may be able to claim that their pleas were coerced or otherwise tainted by entrapment, discovery violations, or ineffective assistance of counsel.

Claims that Jan. 6 rioters are ‘political prisoners’ endure. Judges want to set the record straight

We’ve seen the accusations presented in the charges, the clearly inventive abuse of legal codes, the presented evidence, the judge-aided refusal to provide evidence to the defense which turns out to be incompatible with the prosecutions descriptions, and the over-the-top sentencing.

Has anyone seen a story calling the rioters patriots or heroes?

Three kinds of people entered the building that day. There were Feds stirring things up, and lots of them. There were criminals making trouble. And there were doofs who wanted to stroll in for some phone pics.

And then there are people charged who weren’t there.

The Feds were not charged. The criminals needed to be charged. The doofs need a $200 doof charge for being doofs, not put into the federal prison system. The ones not there need to have charges dropped.

Lamberth has been a straight shooter in the past. This should remind us that even the judges have not had access to all the videos.

Yep. He had a good and longstanding reputation. It would have earned him deference had there not been such clear disconnect between prosecution depictions and video evidence which he has ignored.

I almost went to Jan 6 but didn’t make it. But that does not guarantee they won’t eventually come after me for something, maybe the IRS again.

6 years for rowdy trespassing. Should have been 30 days and a fine at most.

Even if I’m not, I live in state that voted against the regime, and shut down a park where Mayorkas was waving them in, so will residents of my state be on the regime’s Naughty List?

“overseeing the more than 1,200 Jan. 6 criminal cases in Washington’s federal court”

Way too many and the wrong ones.

Just jail Ray Epps and maybe a couple dozen others who implemented the set-up. There was violence as four Trump supporters were killed.

These judges such as Lamberth trample on the graves of heroes who gave their lives and limbs for freedom.

“In my 37 years on the bench, I cannot recall a time when such meritless justifications of criminal activity have gone mainstream,” Lamberth, an appointee of President Ronald Reagan, wrote in a recent ruling. The judge added he “fears that such destructive, misguided rhetoric could presage further danger to our country."

Keep running your gob, fatty, because you're gonna free this guy on appeal and the next one and the next one.

Yes, but the Biden gang will punish whole states if they vote the wrong way.

They’re literal prisoners of war. In our own country. By our own countrymen. Disgraceful!
