Lessons:
>NEVER use your own device (laptop or otherwise).
>NEVER use said device on your own wifi.
>Keep its wireless utilities (wifi & bluetooth) OFF (or in a mylar bag) until situated within range of a public wifi FAR from your home.
>Be aware that it’s nearly impossible to avoid 100% of cctv cameras, including on highways.
>Use a VPN purchased with a gift card exclusively for this device.
>Even while traveling just to use wifi, do not use your own vehicle (LPRs - i.e., ‘license plate readers’ - exist in many jurisdictions on most highways/interstates and are sifted for evidence in every investigation).

Mylar of itself doesn’t block anything. It has to be coated Mylar.
