Needless to say the system has had a ton of upgrades since then. Like the B-52.

You are not that old. The Patriot did not date to the 1960s.

That surface to air missile system (in the 1960s) would be the Hawk missile.

But its not the same system - only the name is the same. So many changes that they are impossible to list.
