This is about abortion. If women can’t kill their babies at will, they will vote for the further destruction of the country.

There is no other explanation IMHO.

Maybe; I dunno. But it seems that when people are polled on the issues that are most important to them, abortion is pretty far down on the list for most people. The number of people, men or women, who list that as #1 is too small to change the results of an election.
Women and men who want to kill their babies will find a way, laws or no laws. That’s always been the case. If they’re evil enough to want to murder, they’re evil enough to flout any law.
