Vivek Ramaswamy uncorked his most bizarre election conspiracy theory to date on Monday, suggesting that the NFL playoffs may be rigged in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs to give Taylor Swift more national air time ahead of an eventual endorsement of Joe Biden this fall.
The former White House hopeful shared his dizzying theory in a post to X, responding to a post about Swift allegedly coming out as “a super liberal in 2020” all of a sudden—despite Swift having endorsed Democrats as early as 2018.
“I wonder who’s going to win the Super Bowl next month,” wrote Ramaswamy, who dropped his presidential bid this month and endorsed Donald Trump. “And I wonder if there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall. Just some wild speculation over here, let’s see how it ages over the next 8 months.”
Swift, who is dating the Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, has featured prominently on national broadcasts during Chiefs games since late September. Sunday was no different for the pop star, who was shown on CBS’ broadcast after nearly every Kelce highlight and was filmed on the field with her beau as they celebrated him clinching a spot in next month’s Super Bowl.
That newfound attention during NFL games has drawn the ire of many online, and some Republicans, like Ramaswamy, are beginning to suggest it’s somehow all one big political conspiracy—even as Swift herself has been shown visibly displeased with the extra attention.
Much of the right-wing disdain for the couple initially stemmed from Kelce’s endorsement deals with Bud Light and Pfizer, a pair of companies that have become embroiled in the Republican culture wars recently.

I despise her.
Besides politics which are awful, she reminds me of Oprah in that she has this crazed, young mostly liberal, Yuuuge following of devoted lemming like fans.
Also like Oprah I don’t even see why she is considered so incredibly talented, at least in proportion of her wealth and fame.

I have always felt the Swift-Kelce relationship is fake
Hollywood has a long history of arranged relationships for profit, image and PR
The NFL benefits greatly from getting “Swiftie” fans buying jerseys and tickets. The political establishment certainly benefits.
Kelce is a goon who imitates a ghetto thug accent when speaking publicly, and is more than happy to take money from Pfizer or Bud Light if the price is right. I can’t guess what Swift is being paid
its interesting how out of 1700 or so active NFL players (the USA’s most watched sport), Swift also happens to pick the most appropriate single man, on the most popular team poised to win the Super Bowl.
Yeah, the NFL purposely made Lamar Jackson throw into triple coverage, and Zay Flowers purposely fumble into the end zone. They also made Dan Campbell go for it on 4th down twice.
Vivek is treading on ground that should be left untread.
No one should care what TS thinks about politics. That is going to lead to her being asked a lot of questions.
Vivek is “giving” her power. That will end up being an unforced error.

They both come from really different worlds - athletics and entertainment. Although yes, a claim can legitimately made that they are one and the same.
Kelce’s fans are not Swift’s fans.
How did two people so different and on such different schedules manage to fall in “love”?
It really does look and sound concocted.

Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Joe Biden is most likely going to be fake. She’s worth 1.1 billion dollars. So if they tell her that she has to praise Joe Biden, she’ll do it.
