He wasn't. He was blaming Trump. This statement by him implies this lawsuit is Trump's fault.

The lawsuit with Carrol *ONLY* happened because the New York legislature meddling with the law and creating an illegal bill of attainder.
But the commenter acted like Trump caused it. No, the New York system is just out to get him and passed a law to specifically target him.
I recall reading that this nutjob woman and her lawyer were even involved in drafting this law for the legislature.
