The problem with drugs is that they are approved for a medical purpose, and any licensed professional who uses or assists in their use to cause death will be buried in lawsuits and board complaints.
I would never use my medical skills to execute someone. Join a firing squad or flip the switch? Sure.

Had a BAD experience with that once! It was NOT painless for the dog or me! I try not to think about it as it still upsets me years later.
They use a strong narcotic mix called "Euthanol." The heart stops beating and the animal dies before the full dose is even administered.
According to a previous story I read, the lethal injection route was attempted and abandoned because they couldn't find a vein.
Couldn’t they just overdose with fentanyl and make him a happy exit? What’s the problem here? Plenty of that stuff around.
