This “affordable housing” BS has got 50% of idiot Americans thinking that life is so unfair and that sellers and landlords need to stop “gouging” the market. Pathetic. This and minimum wage increases helps to keep these dopes on the reservation.

That’s also why they are turning the screws on landlords, in the hopes they just give up, and let government become the sole landlord.

“This “affordable housing” BS “??

Bought a house 15 years ago for 55K
now worth 400K

Another 10 years ago for 75K
now worth 525K

Wages have not kept up on that scale.

Local market?
Median income 63K
Median House? 525K
That is unaffordable for most folks.

They’ve yet to realize every time minimum wage goes up, so does everything else. Well, not their savings as it goes down in value.

They gnash their teeth over 3% mortgages. Oh, the highest ever in history! Not. We were paying over 12% plus points in the 90s. Of course, we saved for a home and didn’t blow our paycheck like ME, ME, ME! Millennials do.
