Infamy? Really?
Consider a few realities, my excellent FRiend.
First, Mister Trump needs to win a whole lotta votes, many from folks who only agree with him on certain issues, many from folks who generally agree with him, but are so turned off by his childish behavior that they can't see the drive to the polls. Mind you, Trump NEEDS their votes to even come close.
Next, consider that many of the things that Haley says in her speeches (she's quite good at speechmaking, btw) are things that you, I and Trump agree with. So if Trump says that Haley was correct when she said, "...", then potential Trump voters can feel a common view.
And, let's just say that a Haley voter was teetering on supporting Trump if Haley loses the nom, and Mister Trump chooses to INSULT Haley rather than just stating some key differences, that voter will feel insulted. (It's true. As a hypothetical, if I were to write words to the effect saying that Trump is a petulant, childish, name-calling, thin-skinned, egomaniacal, and determined loser, the Trump patrol hereabouts get very mad at ME, and if I were running for something, I would not have there vote.) The point being that Trump drives potential voters away, when a wise person would cultivate them, from all sectors.
