Jesus didn’t march his followers on Rome and demand that Caesar take care of them either.

The lack of compassion on this thread (and many threads like it) from many who would call themselves followers of Christ is stunning.
Yeah, they illegally crossed the border. Don't forget, though, our Federal government rolled out the red carpet for them. Maybe your anger is misplaced. Maybe you should be marching on the Capitols of 50 States and D.C. and demanding action from those who can give it.
Letting these people starve and freeze, is that the answer? Really? Perhaps God is sending them to US for a reason.
No doubt many will hate on me for this, but there are three things that God has compassion on: widows, orphans, and....foreigners. Look it up and try to justify it away all you want by saying they're illegal and whatnot. It's pretty clear throughout the Old Testament. Jesus has some strong things to say about it too.
Do we then just knock down our borders and let them all come in? No, of course not. But the people coming across the border aren't the problem. It's the greedy, power-hungry politicians who allow it. Focus your anger and disgust on them. They haven't felt our wrath yet (and probably won't), so they'll continue to do what they do best.
If they're hungry feed them. If they're without clothing, clothe them.
It may not seem like it, but I'm still wrestling with the issue personally because I understand both sides of the argument. I'd like to think I have a Biblical worldview on it, but I'm sure others more angry than me will set me straight. I have no doubt about that.
