As for these buses, I believe the coachwork is pretty standard - the bankrupt EV company only made batteries and powertrain conversions. Should be an off-the-shelf repair parts type fix. Maybe the repair budget got nuked when they paid for those useless EVs.
I think the city council is just too damn stupid to reason out how to deal with this.
Seriously, these lib morons really can’t logically reason from A to B. Only how to spend OPM.
I’m more inclined to think these are clueless bureaucrats who have no concept of using our vast informational resources to find alternative parts & service. Anyone who has owned a classic car or bike is resourceful enough to get these busses moving. I had a 1972 Dodge Demon (bought new) that we drove every day as our regular car for 35 years. These putzes could get these busses moving.
I think they have realized these busses aren’t worth crap for their intended purpose and figure letting them rot is the best alternative. They thought they could just plug them in every day and that was all there was to keeping them on the road. Not that they will have learned any lessons from this cluster fark.
