The “Never Back Down” antics are very close to the line of violating campaign finance laws. Lawyers could debate the fine points but their impact on his campaign was so large that imho they crossed the line and became most of his campaign.
They have further compromised DeSantis since he will have to beg the Democrats not to indict him for this stuff.
