You are right. That’s why “Reacher” was such a success, despite some flaws. White, strong, handsome male lead. Plenty of good male characters. Yes, baddies were Robert (”Terminator”) Patrick and a sleazy Euro. Yes, there were two chicks (an oblique ref to one being a Lezzie, but nothing solid), love between Reacher & the other one.
In other words, only about a 30 on the woke scale.
People are utterly ditching such woke shows as “Echo,” “Madame Web,” “Marvels,” etc.
Interesting. The point you are making - that the woke Left is losing at the box office - is slightly different than the point I was trying to make:
The “ahah” moment I had watching Fargo season 5 was that the over-the-top woke bias of Hollywood isn’t as poisonous to society as I once thought - because the only ones fooled by it are already hopelessly brainwashed.
We are impervious to it because we know it’s fiction. I don’t need to be threatened by a show that has only women of color as heroes and only white males as bad guys - if it’s otherwise a good show - they are only poisoning and dumbing down their own constituency - it’s harmless to us.
That being said - I’d try to steer children away from fiction devoid of true meaning.
