How are Somalis in the US NOT “African American”?

To me, the proper definition of an African American is that you're descended from the American slaves.

Obama is not an African American. He's a Kenyan American. His father got off the boat from Kenya.

“Race” these days seems to be totally skin color based.

We all need to get an RGB value based on a scan of the back of our hands and use that as our pronoun.
