Administrators at a Minneapolis high school canceled classes Friday after a pair of allegedly “race-fueled” fights Thursday between African-American and Somali students that drew in parents and resulted in the arrests of two adults.
CrimeWatchMinneapolis reported that a fight initially broke out between groups of African-American and Somali students at St. Louis Park High School.
The school said in a statement that the first incident, which took place during the latter part of the school day, was broken up by teachers and staff.
“Unfortunately, the situation escalated further at the end of the school day when adults (not SLP employees), who were aware of the earlier altercation, became involved in another physical altercation with some of the students,” the statement said.
Crimewatch said the brawl involved some parents.
Abreeha Annalisa Smith, 22, and Latoys Renail Milon, 41, were arrested but later released without being charged, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.
Milon’s daughter, Sanaiah Milon, said she was punched and kicked to the floor by dozens of students because of “a personal beef,” denying claims the fight was racially-motivated. But school officials are still investigating the incident as possibly race-based. Sanaiah said she’d argued with a Somali classmate months earlier, but thought the issue had been resolved, the outlet reported.
But then she was told she was going to get “jumped,” Sanaiah told KARE11.
“And I got punched. And I got punched again from the other side. Then one student grabbed me by the neck and she tossed me and we were on the floor. And it was just kicks, punches. In my head, it felt like it was going on forever. Like, I was just scared.”
Videos on social media show Sanaiah being beaten up, but classes resumed after the fight.

The book and later TV series ‘Roots’ made lots of blacks think they could trace their family history back to Africa, but as it later turned out, it was a work of fiction claiming to be real.

In cases of holy vigilantism I actually agree. Both of us then can be charged with the annoying cliche “trying to take the law into their own hands.” As if the law and the politicians who passed the laws are worthy of total respect. The system that frequently allows guilty criminals to go out and find fresh innocent victims. The law would say you should keep hands off as you are not a law enforcement officer with jurisdiction over the precise area involved.
Medical doctors are usually-—usually——allowed exemption from harm done in intervening to help strangers. No one else is allowed that.

A reference to "West Side Story"? Gang loyalty or risk a beat-down within the gang. When I was a teen I stayed away from the gangs. One of my neighbor friends got shot while in our local gang fighting another gang. Ours was the "Lawn Boys" because of the nearby park a couple blocks away. I remember fights breaking out on the Muni bus when members of a couple gangs were on the same bus. Both sides looked alike, not racially motivated.
I read recently that Nigerian immigrants were the most financially successful of all the immigrants.
I am thankful I was in school before the terrible way it all degenerated later. Yes, West Side Story was in first run and there were small numbers of “juvenile delinquent” gangs then (not in my school or city) but not the widespread trend or the drug use and violence later. My small city looked almost exactly like Mayfield in Leave It To Beaver when I grew up.
I think the Indians and Chinese are doing even better... For the same reasons.
Just stay out of the way if you can. The cities, especially the sanctuary cities, will be sh!tholes with violence, poverty, mass unemployment and as usual the leftist will be blaming everyone except themselves.
For fighting or hitting someone it should be Automatic deportation back to country of origin, no exceptions including all family members.
Maybe there is a respect is demanded and not earned gene. It is probably adjacent to the no accountability/always the victim gene.
So...If your skin color is black and you are from Alabama and another black skinned person is from Missouri does that mean a racial brawl could break out in Virginia?
I see, a black Alabaman is different that a Black Missourian. They have nothing in common? Didn't know that. Guess I lost my head for a minute. This racial stuff is getting too confusing for me.
In strand of a racial issues it seems to be a ethnically challenge problem.

Maybe not to them. The majority of Somalis, Ethiopians, and Sudanese with finer, aquiline features do not consider themselves black, iow, Bantu. They make fun of their thicker noses and lips.
Haile Selassie, (who the Rastafarians claim was a living black god) who most Americans would consider black, always claimed no way was he black.
