I take the view that any GOPer, even Trump, would be better than the Dem (my guess, Moochelle) nom, and I'll vote accordingly.
That said, I know GOPers (my DW included) who are so infuriated by Trump's foolish behaviors, that they decline to vote for him.

He did that in 2016, and has continued to do so these past 7 years. It hasn't cost him his popularity. In fact, he's more popular than ever.
True conservatives don't want pansy-a$$es as their candidates. We tried that with the likes of George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, John McCain, and Mitt Romney...all gutless wonders, who wouldn't fight against any Democrat and media attacks against them, but sat there like scolded puppies, with their tails between their legs. If they won't fight for themselves, how will they ever fight for you?
I voted for Trump specifically because he speaks out, fights for himself and me, and calls a spade, a spade. And more people than your fickle acquaintances have stuck with him since 2015. I would never vote for another Republican pussy, and unfortunately, there's plenty of them in the Grand Old Pussy Party. The people you are talking about couldn't have possibly voted for Trump in 2016, because he was the same man then, that he is now. He hasn't changed one bit.
