When I drive to the Metro North Westport Station for Manhattan, I take backroads that carry me through Taunton Hill Road, Flat Swamp Road and then Poverty Hollow Road, which I'm sure you are familiar with, until I hit the main roads of Black Rock Turnpike and then Route 136 which brings me right to the train. A very nice and scenic commute most of the year but when it is icy, very dangerous with all the curves and the narrowness of it all. I have a car with four wheel drive and good tires but it's the other cars I don't trust - always wanting to tailgate and go fast even in the worst conditions.

Last year, I took a right off Poverty Hill during an ice event, on up the Church Hill Road to Black Rock where there is a very steep grade. I lost my momentum and started slipping backwards! This was about 5:45 am when it was still pitch dark so fortunately nobody was behind me. I managed to keep my car on the road long enough to back into the woods where there was no ditch, so was able to pull forward, go back down the hill and get home.

From that point on, I resolved to never drive to work again in winter weather. After 40+ years of working, and close to retirement, I owe myself that much!

So I was perfectly happy to work at home today!

If he is to bring in people like me , the consummate flip flopper , then I like many millions of us want more of trump the conciliatory , able to forgive and to move on. More of a statesmen as he was yesterday

I hope yesterday was the start of a trump more presidential and Les of a reality star.

He needs to bring in the independents, without independents you stand no chance , that is the truth.
