Former President Trump posted a video Thursday with extended remarks about former magazine advice columnist E. Jean Carroll after he was limited earlier in the day in a New York courtroom in testifying on behalf of himself in Carroll’s civil defamation case.
Trump was found liable in May 2023 for sexually abusing and defaming Carroll, who had accused him of sexually assaulted her in 1996. He was ordered to pay $5 million in damages.
Trump denied the allegations, which resulted in the defamation charge.
This second trial, which began Jan. 16, is centered on how much Trump will owe Carroll in additional damages.
