This DHS letter was addressed to Texas AG Ken Paxton on January 23, 2024.
“Because the Department owns property rights to the areas depicted on the attached map, we demand that you immediately remove any and all obstructions on it, which include the access points into Shelby Park...”
“By January 26, 2024, please confirm that the State will provide U.S. Border Patrol with the access described above. If the State refuses the requested access in part, but not in whole, please specify what access you intend to deny.”

The unity behind closing the border is the most promising development we have seen on the right in years. This is because of three major reasons:
1) Elon Musk liberating X/Twitter. Thanks to this platform we have a fighting chance to challenge the media and expose what is actually happening on the border
2) The political popularity of Trump. Trump becoming the presumptive GOP nominee has helped to elevate the border as a dominant and winning issue. Even McConnell knows this
3) Gov. Abbot’s willingness to reject old Bush era Republicanism. Abbott leaning into the border despite a disappointing SCOTUS ruling is exciting and promising.
Closing the border and deporting illegals is quickly becoming the most energizing issue of 2024.

How about we just surround the OUTSIDE of these “Department owned” areas with DOUBLE concertina wire, until these jack boots back off??
