I discovered FR by chance and with thanks to and action taken by an activist that wrote Freerepublic.com’s Url on the back of a NEWSMAX yard sign.
This introduction to FR happened at a campaign victory party for Peter Goslin Fitzgerald, winning a US Senate seat- R-IL, on Nov. 3rd, 1998, defeating an incumbent- Carol Mosley Braun, the first black female elected to the US Senate.
I will try and be there, have a friday night gig, but Arizona is far away in another time zone, so I might be able to make it! :-)
