Too bad. Vivek Ramaswamy is my second choice after Ron DeSantis. Of course I’ll vote for Donald Trump in the general election. But he needs to develop a strategy to win. It’s going have to be like the Manhattan Project. The odds are against him. The Deep State, the Mainstream Media and other actors are all against Trump.

As Michael Knowles put it: DeSantis marketing himself as an effective Trump without the baggage was a double-edged sword:
- The people who like Trump tend to not care about the baggage (and those who find it offputting will still vote for him in the general).
- The people who hate Trump don’t want anyone who’s like Trump in any way.
