A United States Air Force fighter pilot training to be a Top Gun has been crowned Miss America.
Madison Marsh, 22, who comes from Fort Smith, Arkansas, won the top award at a ceremony in Orlando, Florida on Sunday night.
Second Lt Marsh was crowned Miss Colorado in May 2023 before competing in the finals to scoop the top award. Marsh is the first active duty officer from any branch of the military to represent at the national level of the Miss America organization.
This year's runner-up is Miss Texas, Ellie Breaux who would be called to step in if Marsh is unable to complete a full year of service.
Miss Indiana Cydney Bridges came third, Miss Kentucky Mallory Hudson placed fourth while Miss Rhode Island Caroline Parente came fifth.
Fifty-one contestants participated in the event, representing all 50 US states, as well as the District of Columbia.

To be fair, not sure if centrifuges are used for pilot training. Was thinking astronauts. But do know G suits are a real thing thus G forces must come into play somehow, for example high G turns in a dogfight. Or do you dispute that?
That’s a great observation, TB. It DOES have the hallmarks of pandering to white males to join up, doesn’t it?
They realized trannies and “diverse” people were turning off the main source of recruits, went “uh oh,” and flipped the switch.
Oh, last note: I have never flown a fighter plane. Have a few friends who were fighter jocks. Where I’m got my info.
Again, we will just have to agree to disagree. That’s allowed here on FR unlike most leftscum sites. Part of what makes it a great forum.
So much to love about this young lady. Congratulations to her!
I was wondering the same thing. Top Gun was Naval. Are Air Force pilots being accepted into Top Gun now? Or is this another example of the stupid media just spouting BS?
The gal is getting her master’s degree at the Kennedy School. It’s probably the most progressive school at Harvard. You don’t survive there unless you are far left.
Elise Stefanik was on their advisory board. They publicly kicked her off the board after she made come positive coments about Trump. Elise’s interview of Gay was well deserved public payback. LOL

Combat is horrible. So why should our women have to suffer from combat? They should stay at home and raise children. They are happiest while they are fulfilling their intrinsic desire to raise families.
If there are some women who truly want to serve, they can serve in medical units or in other units that are segregated by sex (such as intelligence and logistics).
Or a country that glorifies women fighting each other.
Good luck with that. The White mes are the evil MAGA Republicans, remember?
My money is on stupid media.
Exactly the kind of person liberals hate.
Israel, Denmark, Poland, Finland, France, Netherlands, Norway, Canada, Australia……
We can agree to disagree, but my opinion is based on experience in fighters. Upper body strength DOES matter. One doesn’t just sit and play video games. That is why Gs DO matter, but not in the way a centrifuge tests.
G-suits matter and I spent a lot of time wearing them, but again, it isn’t “Gs” so much as actively flying and fighting while pulling Gs. Been in a centrifuge too. Not the same.
Aggressive spirit is more common in men than in women. Isn’t a factor in pilot training but it is when shooting starts. I’m not saying NO WOMEN have it, but in recruiting and training you are playing the odds.
And...when you sink $20 million into a fighter pilot, you ought to want to KEEP that pilot. Much harder to keep women pilots, judging from what I saw while in the Air Force. Don’t have raw numbers to back that up but I’ll give a hint: Martha McSally was a decent congresswoman but a fraud as a fighter pilot.

Dang good point.
“A country that sends women into combat as a matter of policy is no longer worth fighting for.
Or a country that glorifies women fighting each other.”
Amen.
I was simply responding to this:
“If she gets pregnant, she will get to try one of those new maternity G suits. Our great military at the ready! USA! USA! USA!”
