He can’t run 3rd-party, it would only hurt Biden with what’s left of the Blue Dogs. That would directly take Biden votes in Pennsyltucky and Michigan. That doesn’t mean dirty money won’t try and talk him and Lizard Cheney into a Dumbass!, er, No Labels Party ticket and their 13 states. There would be no end to the irony if No Labels on the ballot in Maine gave Trump 1EV there again and that was the margin of victory (yes, it’s possible).

He did not vote to convict Trump in the 2018 impeachment because that happened just before his November run for the Senate.
But surprise-surprise, he voted to convict Trump in 2021 when he was safe from facing the voters.
