“Backwards around the Circle of Fifths?”
Which is the circle of fourths.
I use this left hand trick on the piano where you play the third and dominant 7th, and then go down or up chromatically, which results in the circle of fifths (or fourths).
For example, E.and Bb make a rootless C7 (dominant), and moving each down a half tone gives you Eb and A, which is a rootless F7, down another halftone gives you a rootless Bb7, and so on - around the circle of fourths.
Very useful trick for 251 or 36251 turnarounds.
