The data is incorrect. Covid death counts are about 100 per day. That does not align with over 1000 per week.
The criterion for declaration of a Covid death is positive test and a death judged to be substantially caused by the virus. The call is made by the attending physician.
Note that when All Causes Excess Death data suspended in Sept 2023, the dead were concentrated in the 65-84 age range. This was essentially consistent with 2020-2022, with the exception that the 85+ age groups have become safe. That very elderly age group was a huge proportion of virus deaths prior to 2022. No longer.
Bottom line, the virus is still out there killing people, and it is indeed puzzling why the age groups have changed.
Not also 2020-2022 there were nearly no Excess Deaths age 0-45 and that remained true up to Sept 2023. This means they were safe all along from the virus. It also means they are not dying from vax. If All Causes Excess Deaths are zero, that by definition means death counts are what they were 2016-2019, before there was virus or vax.
