That’s idiotic. He has run Florida better throughout 2023 than any of governor in the nation. More fantastic legislation. More legal wins. More productivity battling failed federal immigration policy ( he’s the one who started sending illegals to blue areas. Remember Martha’s Vineyard). Perfectly managed emergency response. Wins over Blackrock, Disney, and ESG.

These lies about conservative wins are horse shit.

He didn’t “take over” Disney’s special district. He disbanded it after Disney broke its agreement with the State of Florida, which was long overdue.

DeSantis should push back and demand Disney donate half the park to illegal invader housing.

Does Trump family still own stock in Disney?

Why don't you do your own research?

Correction- Democrat/communists don’t get to pass laws they just get copies of the laws passed by Republicans before everyone else.

So Trump was responsible for every bill the Democrats wrote? Nobody in their right mind believes that.

What does this have to do with a presidential run? DeSantis still has veto power, not to mention that this attempt at getting a bill through two Republican-majority houses has next to nil of a chance to even make it to the governor’s desk.

Idiot woman who stayed to be abused.

When my EX husband started to beat on our 3 boys because they irritated him, Blamed PSTD. I packed and left the next morning. No money, I called my uncle, dad was working swing shift. Spent a decade single supporting us. No safety nets back then.

Democrats didn’t give Disney its crony capitalism deal did it?

The one that has been around since the 60s? Those pesky Florida Republicans did..

And if one is honest, Florida Republicans were going to let that crony capitalism continue until the Mouse opened its mouth too far and too loud...

The Mouse puffed his chest and those brave Florida Republicans said enough..

Not until Disney got mouthy, btw..

Unless Florida Republicans ran on killing the Republican enabled and Republican endorsed crony capitalism deal before the Mouse got lippy..

The dominate political party in Florida during the 1960s were the Rats. There was one GOP governor - Claude Kirk during that time period. GOP majorities in the legislature didn’t really appear until the 2000s.

The bill, which was sought by and pushed for by Disney,[5] was signed into law by Florida Governor Claude R. Kirk, Jr. on May 12, 1967..

Only one GOP governor.

It appears all it took was that one GOP governor you referenced..

Many in the media are stupid; all think we are stupid. It’s that word “advanced” in the headline. What does that mean? What happened? It’s not at all clear from the article. Something about a repeal bill re Reedy Creek. This is a singularly uninformative article

Not surprised I never heard anything good about him. Of course it was Rat majorities in the legislature giving him the bill to sign. Disney seemed so harmless and wholesome in those days. Still surprised that local politicians would sponsor a bill essentially creating an enity essentially independent of local, county and state control thus giving up power. A lot of Disney money must have done the negotiating.

It seems Walt’s dream was to build that Epcot as a real city, and Reedy makes some sense with that goal..
