Why do you think that the US Navy will not get to close to the eastern Mediterranean shore? Missiles have rendered surface warships into giant liabilities. The Black Sea is untenable with a hostile power so close to the Crimea. That is why Russia will take Odessa and the entire Ukrainian shoreline. Sucks to be them.
