Sorry, this whole premise is in the wrong direction.

“DEI is the real racism” just validates Leftist framing of “racism” and accepts their moral categories and hierarchy as a given.

Even when they lose, they still win.

Restoring academic standards has to start with accepting that there are significant racial group differences in academic ability.

Until that happens, “under-represented” groups will always have a cause of action and the inevitable result will be future DEI-type programs.

If you have a pure merit-based academic achievement system, you have to accept that high IQ groups like jews and asians will be “over-represented”. And blacks etc. will be “under-represented”.

A number of faculty at the University of Pennsylvania have proposed a new constitution which can be found at http://pennforward.com, which has been signed by more than 1,200 faculty from Penn, Harvard, and other universities. Harvard would do well to adopt Penn’s proposed new constitution or a similar one before seeking to hire its next president.
