Former President Donald Trump and Fox News have scheduled an Iowa town hall event on the same date and at the same time (Wednesday, January 10, at 9:00 p.m. ET) as CNN’s upcoming Republican presidential debate.
For some insane reason, a few of the dummies running for the Republican presidential nomination have agreed to allow far-left CNN to host a debate in Iowa. File that under Why we lose.
But now, just five days before the all-important Iowa Caucus on Saturday, January 15, Trump will deliver a two-fer. This Fox News town hall will not only steal attention away from his rivals for the GOP nomination a mere five days before voting begins, but it will cut (hopefully deeply) into CNN’s ratings.

Bret Baier's plastic surgery is not looking too good.
hehehe... look for cnn to reschedule their event...
You should see his wife's, must have been a 2-1 cut rate deal
Fire Ronna for allowing this.
This sounds like a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I remember Trump’s so-called Townhall in 2020 which was held at the Lincoln Memorial. I believe that Brett Baier and Martha MacCallum were the hosts.
It was during Covid which gave Fox News the chance to collect many video clips and carefully choose the ones that were mostly negative for Trump. In an almost 2 hour show, IIRC there were two neutral questions, one Trump supporter question and all the rest were people giving speeches attacking Trump. He was given very little time to respond. Trump is great with people but did not do so well against such terrible odds.
Brett Baier and Martha MacCallum seemed to know which topics were coming next. They had their snide and/or combative comments ready on papers on their laps
With Brett and Martha, what’s the difference with CNN?
Is there anyone at Fox who would give Trump a fair and balanced town hall? Hannity? Bartiromo? I think Bartiromo would be the fairest. Thoughts?
If he really had the power he’d make one of the 3 POTUS debates be on one subject alone and that is the subject of racism. Since the drive-by left/MSM enjoy immunity every time they throw a rock we should be entitled to a head to head rebuttal. Our enemies wouldn’t be able to hide. The whole country would be watching not just blacks. I’m getting tired of this crap and I’m not alone.
$hit-if Biden/Kamala are on the ticket again the VP debate should be Kamala/Trump. Everyone knows she’ll end up in the Oval Office if both get reelected.

>>>It really is terrible how PDJT doesn’t have a viable trustworthy major news operation with which to turn this time around. I hope he will have an unedited, transcribed feed to take with him in case Faux News attempts to twist anything he says, edit out content or any other dirty tricks.
When it comes to appearing on this network, I wish he’d remember the SNAKE poem, “You knew I was poisonous before you took me in!”
Incidentally, I had high hopes that Newsmax might provide a decent platform for him, but lately they’ve been affording Meatball way too much airtime.
That’s a nice cope lol.
Biden doesn’t have anyone challenging him at all on the Dem ticket. Does that mean that Creepy Joe also “has something rare in politics these days -a huge following backed by second to none star power”?
Face reality: Trump is too chicken not only to debate, but he is too chicken to take questions from actual audience members, making it a pseudo town hall.
Only invalids who can’t reach for the remote will be watching another tedious scripted Trump rerun where he blubbers on about the polls and lies about promising to do the stuff that he promised to do in 2016, but didn’t do.
Yup. The politics behind the politics. The GOP gave this up. Fox News doesn’t want to lose viewers to CNN, so they counter program the debate with a town hall featuring the leader in the race. I can partly understand why GOP went to CNN - they need to deliver messages to people who may not otherwise hear them. But knowing Trump would not attend, they should have just stuck with networks the GOP primary voters will watch.
Hello troll...it ain’t working btw.
Stupid gunna be stupid and boy you top the list.
The term “internet troll” has been around since the ‘80s and ‘90s to describe individuals who would derail conversations on Usenet with spam and harmful content. Far from the small, colorful, and incessantly happy animated creatures we’ve seen on the big screen, real-life trolls work to provoke and manipulate others, either for their own amusement or a specific political goal.
And as the internet grew over the past few decades, so did they.
Not just an angry acquaintance on Facebook or a Twitter user with an egg for a profile picture, trolling today has evolved into an elaborate, industrialized, and global art form, often coordinated in what we now know as troll farms.
These are sophisticated operations that involve groups of people whose job it has become to sow disinformation online in an effort to influence people and governments. Some work in physical offices, while others are paid on a per-day basis as freelancers. Together, workers in these farms amplify key messages, using fear and anger in order to encourage real users to engage and believe in them.

You’re right about Maria Bartiromo. I’ve known for 30 that she’s the best at what she does (in addition to being the smartest woman in the world).
I smell ozone. I look forward to your departure.
You are too comical. I’ll wait for you to post the audience numbers on the “debate” vs the Trump event. Trump derangement is a very sad ailment. Anyone who could ignore all of Trump’s achievements for Americans during his presidency has a special form of reality testing.

There’s two sides to your observation. The principled side would be that we want journalists to hit candidates with hard questions, put them to the test, and see how they respond to angry constituents. The other side is how the Democrats do it - they do everything possible to prop their candidate up and make him/her look best, rigging their primaries and feeding the campaigns the questions in advance.
Trump was able to win in 2016 in part because a lot of people did not like Hillary, and also because he really clobbered her in the debates with zingers like “because you’d be in jail” and the comical “Putin, release the emails” which was obviously a joke, but the entire DC establishment took that and ran it as if Trump and Putin were colluding. Point is that Trump was able to pull off an upset because he did very well in a very tough environment in 2016.
Trump still hiding from any real questions.
He dropped out of a town hall in Iowa the other day when he heard he would have to take questions from students.
