Assuming Trump wins in 2024, would someone like Ben Carson be a good successor to him in 2028? It depends on the state of the country at the time. If the pace of reform in Trump’s 2nd term is swift and he’s able to hand over a thoroughly reformed and largely honest government to whoever succeeds him, then yes. On the other hand, if the process of reform is incomplete and a candidate who can finish the job is needed, then I have my doubts about someone like Carson. Though he’s decent and honest, I don’t believe he has the temperament to deal with the ruthless adversaries who now infiltrate our government.

Exactly. I like him too but you need some killer instinct in political major league, and he seems too much a Queensberry rules guy.

The only female I'd trust is Sarah Sanders. She can handle herself in the ring and has proven it often. But she won't snag any extra votes and the VP candidate's main job is to add to the tally.
