I think you will find a lot if employers who will tell you that today’s college grads don’t know how to do anything. Regardless of what option one chooses over college, it’s a choice that gives them some chance of becoming competent. That alone makes it a better move.
I don’t know. I graduated from college and went to work. I knew very little when I showed up. I learned fast.
The thing is, I did not start using my “college knowledge” until I was pretty far up the corporate ladder. And that was almost all math and accounting.
I wonder what is different today?
I agree. Unless it is a Stem degree or perhaps some business degrees, a BS degree is worthless. My underlying point was we are subsidizing women making poor choices.
