A drone fired by Yemenâs Houthi rebels hit a commercial oil tanker in the Red Sea on Saturday, Pentagon officials said, while the Iran-backed group launched another four attack drones toward a U.S. warship in the region.
The attacks represent a direct challenge by the Iran-affiliated Houthis to the U.S., which recently launched an international task force to protect merchant ships in the increasingly dangerous waterways. The weekend brought fresh reminders of how serious the situation in the Red Sea has become.
In one incident, the Houthis fired four attack drones toward an American warship, the USS Laboon. The ship shot down the drones before they reached their target.

The U.S. Navy has nothing to fight these $2,000 drones with except million dollar missiles that can't be replenished at sea.
And every one of those bombs cost a half million dollars.
Between the debacle in Ukraine and our our utter capitulation to $2,000 Yemeni drones, we're seeing first-hand that our entire defense arsenal is little more than a federal jobs program.

Eliminate Hamas. Hit Yemen and if we must, Iran.

Was the Navy really ordered to stand down or is this just a supposition? If this would really happen, I could easily imagine someone standing trial for murder, but I’m not sure I totally understand this one.
