“The “peak levels” dropped off sharply the beginning of Jan 2021. So there’s only another 10 days if history is a predictor of future levels.”
I’m getting good at missing the peak. Spent a week in the hospital in Dec. 2020 with covid pneumonia and was just tested positive yesterday. I knew something was brewing this Monday, and with my son, his wife and 4 month old son planning are coming in Wednesday night for 7 days, I figured I better get checked out. Needless to say our Christmas will be delayed.
The doctor sent a prescription in for Prednisone and after a not very convincing offer to prescribe Paxlovid I walked out with a paper script to do with what I pleased.
I started taking Ivermectin, zinc and vit. C yesterday and the Prednisone this morning.
Being my second bout I expect it to be less severe and so far that has been the case. Timeline to date:
Monday a little throat tickle.
Tuesday AM sore throat and low grade fever. Afternoon chills.
Wednesday AM sore throat low grade fever and few octaves lower in voice.
Thursday (today) extremely sore throat in morning. Quite a bit of sneezing throughout the day and a running nose but throat is better.
More of an annoyance than anything right now. Hoping tomorrow shows more improvement and we can plan on a combined Christmas and New Years get together.
Prednisone DEPLETES the immune system, read up on it before taking it!!
Hoping your Christmas and New Year’s plans can go unchanged.
Feel better!
